STORYLINE
Gadar: Ek Prem Katha, a Bollywood movie from 2001, was before. The movie depicts a tale of love, sacrifice, and patriotism against the backdrop of the 1947 Partition of India.

Following Sakina’s rescue from the assailants, Tara agrees to assist her in locating her family in Lahore, Pakistan. When Tara and Sakina set out on a treacherous voyage fraught with hazards, violence, and difficulties, a relationship forms despite their religious and cultural differences.
On their voyage, Tara and Sakina encounter many difficulties, such as riots, religious conflicts, and enmity between the two recently founded states. But despite these difficulties, they work hard to stay together and achieve where they’re going out of love for one another.
Meanwhile, Sakina’s rich Muslim businessman father, Ashraf Ali (played by Amrish Puri), is against the notion of his daughter dating a Sikh guy. He will stop at nothing to keep Sakina and Tara apart.
Intense action scenes and dramatic confrontations result from Tara’s dogged effort to save Sakina and get her back with her family. When Tara struggles against all difficulties to show his love for Sakina and create peace in the middle of the Partition’s upheaval, the plot takes an emotional turn.
In the end, Tara and Sakina must painfully decide whether to put their love or the ingrained hostility between their tribes first. The movie comes to a stunning conclusion in which the effects of hatred and the strength of love and sacrifice are demonstrated.
